It looks like the quest is over, and most of the spots for community Advocates for Age of Conan are well on the way to being filled. Funcom opened up spots for representatives from each player class: Assassin, Barbarian, Bear Shaman, Conqueror, Dark Templar, Demonologist, Guardian, Herald of Xotli, Necromancer, Priest of Mitra, Ranger, and Tempest of Set, who will advise Funcom on what the community feels are the important problems and needs of each class, as well as serving as a liason between Funcom and the Age of Conan community. All the advocates are required to have a character of that class at least level 60, an account in good standing, and own a pair of asbestos underwear to better survive the inevitable flamewars over class balance issues.
Five new screens from Star Trek Online have been loosed onto the dangerous space known as the internet, and we've got 'em right here for your enjoyment. Destroyed moons and sexy angles of sleek starships aside, we also get a look at some Klingons, new interiors and what we're guessing is a new Klingon Empire vessel.
Mythic VP/GM/CEO, Mark Jacobs just delivered his highly anticipated State of the Game announcement for Warhammer Online one week before the six-month anniversary of its release. Mythic is currently in the midst of Call to Arms, their first live expansion, and recently delivered a whopping patch that fixed over 500 bugs and introduced two new careers (the Slayer and Choppa). Mark states that the next iteration in this series of patches (1.21) will fix 400+ more bugs, attempt to balance the careers even further, and deliver more new content. The 1.21 patch will launch next month. Details on their 1.3 patch are a bit foggy, but they may deal with items from the following list, which Mark calls the "Eleven Enticing Enhancements" list for WAR:
With the Choppas and Slayers running crazy in Warhammer Online, you can imagine what the different areas have been like - or you'd have to imagine if you weren't here! Luckily for us, Massively's very own resident screenshot fiend, Kyle Horner, caught a screenshot of the action when he started his own Choppa in Warhammer Online and passed it along for us to enjoy today. Kyle reports back: yesterday was the very first day players who completed the Bitter Rivals event were able to play the Choppa career. As you can imagine, many of the quest zones and particularly the early public quests looked a lot like this. Scenarios were also full of the chop-happy Orc players swinging about wildly. All-in-all, it was a pretty awesome day.
